Definitions

Kew Platform

This refers to the platform that provides an appointment scheduling and booking management system for service businesses, featuring conflict resolution between hourly services and full-day services. This definition includes all forms of Kew, whether a website, dashboard, or booking interfaces (booking link) activated for the business.

Service Provider / Business Owner

This refers to any business or individual (natural or legal person) who registers on Kew to use the system for managing their appointment scheduling, including service settings, working hours, and financial operations through the platform.

Guest Client

This refers to any person who books an appointment, service, or makes a payment through the booking interface of a service provider (the business's Kew link). The mobile number is the primary and sole identifier in the system.

Booking Interface

This refers to the public link that the service provider makes available to their clients through Kew (e.g., kew.app/business-name) for selecting services, appointments, and completing payments.

User

This term refers to any person who uses the Kew platform, whether a service provider or a guest client.

Kew's Role in Data

  • Service provider data (business owner): Kew acts as a "data controller" regarding account creation, verification, subscription, and platform operation data.
  • Guest client data: Kew acts as a "data processor" on behalf of the service provider regarding their clients' data and booking records, while the service provider remains primarily responsible for the purpose of collecting and managing such data within their business.

  • Cookies to improve the login experience and save preferences.

Information Sharing

Kew strives to retain this information in a manner that preserves user privacy, and it is used only for platform operation and facilitating the booking process:

  • Guest client data is only shared with the service provider where the booking was made.
  • Necessary financial data is shared with the payment provider (Moyasar) to complete transactions and settlements.
  • Data is never sold or shared with any advertising or commercial entities outside the scope of the service.

Information Security

Kew strives to maintain the confidentiality of user information through:

  • Encrypting sensitive data and implementing advanced security protocols.
  • Using certified payment gateways compliant with international information security standards.
  • The platform recommends that users maintain the confidentiality of their management links and not share access codes.

User Rights

Kew is committed to enabling users to exercise their rights:

  • Access and correction: Service providers can modify their data and services at any time through the dashboard.
  • Booking history: Guest clients (through the service provider) can view their booking history linked to their mobile number.
  • Deletion: Users have the right to request account closure and deletion of personal data, subject to legal and financial requirements that mandate retention of certain records (such as tax invoices and settlements).
